Intel PRO/1000 T IP Storage Adapter PWSA8701T Special Driver Update 3.0 Windows Server 2003/2000/Xp
This release of the PRO/1000 T IP Storage adapter driver 3.0, which is not certified by Microsoft, contains a modified Windows* driver. This special driver contains a workaround for devices that require support for SCSI AutoSense data that exceeds the SCSI AutoSense buffer limits imposed by Windows.
We achieve this workaround by ignoring the ˇ°SRB_FLAGS_DISABLE_AUTOSENSEˇ± contained in the SCSI_REQUEST_BLOCK structure. Some devices, such as some model tape drives, have relied on AutoSense data larger then the limit imposed by Windows to function properly. This workaround should only be used in conjunction with devices requiring this specific behavior; all others should use the official WHQL certified driver.
